The RSPO grievance and mediation mechanism is based on several key principles to ensure its effectiveness and fairness. Transparency is essential to maintain confidence in the process, while compliance with applicable laws and regulations ensures that all actions are carried out within a legal framework. Long-term economic and financial viability is considered to ensure that proposed solutions are sustainable. Adoption of best practices by growers and processors is promoted to maintain high operational standards.
